Don't worry, you're not the only one. It can be pretty scary starting your fitness journey, or even getting back into one, but rest assured, you're not alone. The hardest part is taking the first step, so here are my thoughts on the little excuses in your head.
1. I don't have time.
You don't need to spend hours and hours of your life dedicated to sweating it out in a gym to make a differece to your fitness. With the right kind of training, even 20 minutes a day could make a massive difference, and I can show you some simple workouts you can do at home - you can even do them in front of the TV while you're watching your favourite TV programme!
2. I need to get fit first.
Er hello? What am I here for? I specialise in tailoring workouts to any individual, no matter how fit they are. I bet you'd surprise yourself at how much you can really do. With a 12 week progression plan, I'll make sure you see improvements in your fitness levels, whatever level you start out on.
3. I don't want anyone to see me sweaty and red faced.
OK, I can't promise you won't get sweaty or red faced, but the beauty of being a mobile PT is that we can train anywhere you like, whether in the comfort of your own home or garden, or in a quiet little park. That way, you needn't ever worry about being spotted by someone you know, that is unless you want them to see how many press ups you can do!
4. I hate running.
Yeah, so do I. Everyone has their least favourite exercise, so that's why I make it my mission to find something you do enjoy doing that's contributing to your fitness goals. I like to make my sessions fun and interesting, so you'll never get bored. It's why I love what I do.
5. I've tried everything and nothing seems to work.
I hear this a lot. Just remember, we are all completely different individuals, and there isn't one single answer that works for everyone. All I do ask is that you give 100% in our sessions, and you'll get so much more from it. I'll also give you advice on what to eat, and how to keep your fitness going in between sessions. The rest is up to you.
